The Supreme Court Upholds the PPACA: Now What?

The recent news that the United States Supreme Court issued its long-awaited decision on the constitutionality of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“PPACA”) has raised concern. While lawyers, scholars and pundits will spend lots of time debating various aspects of the decision, companies that sponsor health plans, and HR professionals that deal with employees who participate in those plans, have to be more focused on the practical implications. Essentially, the decision tells us that we have to continue to work to comply with the Act, which means we have to know what we should have done and what we need to do next.

Now Allegis Group “Is” and “Is Not” “Talent Too” (Talent2)

Confused by the title? Sell on the rumor, befuddled by the news. Let me help. Allegis and Talent2 did not merge earlier this week. Talent2 is still an independent company; however, Allegis Group took a 50% ownership stake in Talent2. They are two separate entities though they have a strong history of partnership and joint venture relationship so this is an evolution not a revolution for both.
